Key Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Execute core molecular workflows including nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and biological sample biobanking.
  2. Collect, code, process, and document clinical samples in strict compliance with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) standards.
  3. Manage External Quality Assessment (EQA) programs, NABL documentation, and equipment preventive maintenance.
  4. Maintain laboratory databases, experimental logs, SOPs, and inventory systems.
  5. Collaborate with clinicians, principal investigators, and postgraduate researchers across interdisciplinary projects.
  6. Assist in drafting scientific manuscripts, research publications, and institutional grant proposals.

Eligibility Criteria & Required Skills

1. Education: Early-stage Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related Life Sciences disciplines.
2. Core Skills: Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience with RNA/DNA extraction, PCR/qPCR instrumentation, and clinical sample handling protocols.
3. Desirable Technical Competencies: Working knowledge of advanced spreadsheet software (Excel), statistical analysis tools, or programming languages for scientific data analysis (R or Python).
